The Heart of Tulsa - Boston
This photo will be on Exhibit at The Gilcrease Museum beginning March 5th, 2020. Downtown Tulsa has always been the heart of Tulsa and is where it all started. It is so exciting that it is being revived! The drive down Boston Avenue towards the tallest building in Downtown Tulsa has always been a favorite of mine. First, it is fun to ask which is the tallest building as you approach because it is an optical illusion; what seems to be the shortest is actually the tallest. One block east of Main Street, Boston Avenue contains so much Tulsa history… it has ornate cathedrals, long-standing Art Deco buildings, and a few oil & gas companies still remain in the downtown area where it all started. Even though the streets are not bustling like they were earlier in 2020, Tulsan's continue to remain Tulsa Strong no matter what comes at them — the heart keeps on beating...
